Victoria Crowned Pigeon

Yes, this is based on a real-life pigeon!  The Victoria Crowned Pigeon is the most amazing deep blue color.  It was a challenge to incorporate this blue and make it still match the pastel theme, but I believe it works well. 

My holographic bird series includes 6 pastel pigeons.  Pigeons are basically the same type of birds as doves.  There are so many different types of pigeons, that this project is nowhere near done.
